Igbo Young Man, Mechanical Engineer-Turned Farmer Harvests His First Cucumber Crops

More prove have continued to emerge of the fertility of the soil of our Igbo soil.

Nwafor Igbo, simply identified as Jude, a graduate of Mechanical Engineering I.M.T. Enugu has harvested his first set of Cucumber vegetable crops.

The  youngman has now become a professional farmer, according to his friend, Prince Dunga Victor who shared the information on Facebook.

The Commissioner For Agriculture, Anambra state, Hon Afam Mbanefo was honoured at the feed Nigeria Economic Summit 2017 held in Abuja on Wednesday, as the Best Agric Commissioner in Nigeria in the Year, 2016/2017.

The vibrant Commissioner was recongnised for his outstanding role in revolutionalising the Agric sector of the state under the Governor Willie Obiano's Adminsitration.

Reports from the Commissioner for Agriculture, Abia state, Uzo Azubuike, say the State Government has begun the sale of over 200,000 bags of fertilizer to indigenous farmers of the state.

Uzo revealed this as he addressed newsmen yesterday Wednesday at the state house, stating that the fertilizers would be sold at the rate of N6,000 per bag to interested farmers.

Hon Mark Okoye And His Team Sent To China To Procure Agricultural Equipment For Farmers In Anambra State

Anambra state government may really have be working hard to ensure its Agricultural sector is revamped to international standard.

Hon Mark Okoye, the Honourable Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget Development of the state shared a picture of him and his team in China on a business deal, navigating through the city to find "small-medium scale processing equipment" to enhance Agricultural productivity and assist farmers back in the state.

According to him, "the objective  is to achieve increased efficiency and productivity."
