Breaking: Igbos Attacked In Jos; Shops, Houses And Cars Burnt

Ongoing in the city of Jos, Plateu state is an attack on the Igbo residents and traders by Hausa indigenes.

According to reports, the attack which is ongoing at the Rwang Pam street, an area dominated by the Igbo community, has left several people injured.

Also, such attack is simultaneously ongoing along Ahmadu Bello way.

Police and other security officials have reportedly arrived to calm the situation.

According to Dalipost, aresident named Ojobo had reported that several houses and shops belonging to Igbo traders have been destroyed.

10 Nigerians Nabbed In Delhi For Transfer Of Fake Funds

10 Nigerians between the ages of 27-35 were Monday arrested from Delhi for fake fund transfer by the Cyber Cell of Rachkonda Police.

They were said to have cheated some persons from different parts of the country in the past.

Police officers also recovered eight laptops, twenty-six mobile phones, one Ipad, and thirty five sim cards from the fraudsters.

Photos: Two Suspected Killers of Fr. Onunkwo Have Been Arrested

Two suspected persons accused of murdering Catholic Priest, Rev Fr Cyriacus Onunkwo.

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State confirmed the arrest of the suspects while speaking at the Government House in Owerri, Imo State.

Onunkwo was kidnapped by gunmen, last week Friday, from his vehicle in Orlu town, Orlu Local Government Area.

The Imo state Commissioner of Police, Chris Ezike, said the body of Fr Onunkwo was discovered the following day in a bush in Omuma Village, Oru East Local Government Area.

FRSC Catch Man Allegedly Trying To Traffick 14 Underaged Children In Ebonyi State

Operatives of the Ebonyi sector command of FRSC, today, Wednesday, intercepted a Black Toyota Sienna with plate number, GDD252YD, overloaded with under-aged children.

A statement released by the command, stated that the man and the children have been handed over to the police after he failed to state who the children were to him and where he was taking them to.

Igbo Young Man Murdered In India Over Argument On Biafra

Reports from India says an Igbo young man, N. Chigozie has been murdered in Bengaluru a city in India over altercation on Biafra.

Chigozie who is said to be in his mid-30s, said to have arrived India on a student visa, was found near the railway gate in Hennur, northeast Bengaluru, around 2am, early hours of Monday and his motorcycle had skidded off the road.

Igbo Young Man Arrest In Thailand For Allegedly Robbing And Shooting A Russian Woman

Nwafor Igbo, Chijioke James Chukwunweike, 27, has been arrested by the Phuket Police, Thailand for allegedly robbing and shooting a Russian woman in the Island-province, and breaking into several houses in the area.

He was nabbed at a rented house in Moo 2 village in Tambon Rawai in Phuket’s Muang district on Thursday night, August 31, in the course of which, the Police were said to have found some luxurious at apartment they believed he had stolen from people.

However, Chukwunweike denied robbing or attacking the Russian woman. 

Mass Killing Averted In Imo State As Both Pro And Anti-Rochas Groups Clash Over Ekweukwu Market Demolition

What could have turned into a bloodbath was averted yesterday as some groups in Imo state who were in support and against the demolition of the Ekeukwu Market in Owerri, the Imo state capital.

Recall the demolition of the popular market as directed by the governor, Rochas Okorocha which was carried out few days back saw to  the death of some persons including a 10 year old boy with several others injured.

The renewed clash of both groups continued yesterday and safe the intervention of security forces, would have led to a bloodbath.

Truck Driver Shot Dead In Aba By A Police Officer Over N100 Bribe

Another ugly incident just occured in Aba as a Haulage truck driver was reportedly shot dead by a police officer follwoing a disagreement between them over the payment of N100.

The officer said to be attached to the Living World Church had demanded a bribe from the driver to allow him passage along the Owerri-Aba road, early morning today, Tuesday.

The refusal of the driver to pay the amount enageged both of them in fierce exchange of words. 

Another Mourning In Anambra State As Gunmen Attack Church

Another tragedy hits Anambra people as tow person have been confirmed dead as gunmen attacked the Assemblies of God Church in Oguta Onitsha in Anambra.

According to report from the Punch, the gunmen on sighting some policemen at the Assemblies of God Church, opened fire on them.

And that when the shooting became intense for them to contain the policemen abandoned their patrol vehicle.

“The gunmen moved to their patrol van and took a gun belonging to the policeman they killed.

Angry Mob Bury Robbery Suspect Alive In Ebonyi State

Mob, consisting of angry youths have been reported to have buried a robbery suspect, Chukwudi Omaka (pictured before being buried alive), who along with his gang members allegedly robbed and killed a businessman, Idam Ogbonnia, at Amaisri community in Ebonyi State. 

Police yesterday paraded three of those who reportedly killed Ogbonnia.

Meanwhile, a witness, who is a resident of the community, Emmanuel Udu, said: “Omaka was beaten thoroughly. Despite that, he refused to name his members.

"He was later buried alive by Amasiri youths.”

Suspected Cultist Shot Dead Few Days To His Graduation Buried In Full Cult Uniform

The young man, suspected to be a cultist, who was shot dead few days to his graduation at Nwafor Orizu College of Education, by suspected cultists, has been laid to rest.

Osaji Charles, his name, was buried in full regalia of his cult group at his hometown.
