P-G Of Town In Imo State Murdered On Fathers' Day

Mourning engulfed the Uloano Ndugba community of Isu Local Government in Imo State, following the assassination of the President-General of the town, Bede Okeh.

Mazi Okeh was allegedly shot dead by unknown gunmen on Sunday, June 18th, while he was preparing for the Father’s Day celebration.

Nwafor Igbo Arrested In Lagos For Killing His Chinese Boss

Nwafor Igbo, Amos Okechukwu, has been nabbed by the Lagos police for allegedly killing his Chinese boss, Alice Xu on Friday at her residence in Tayo Close, Akinola Cole Estate, Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja.

Okechukwu who is a casual worker at his boss’s firm, was alleged to have sneaked into boss’s residence and suffocated her with a pillow for insulting his mother.

He afterwards, allegedly ransacked her house and stole about N800,000 and $2,000 cash, before disguising himself as a mad man to avoid recognition by other occupants while leaving the premise.

Young Man Dies After He Was Forced To Eat Raw Yam He Was Caught Stealing

Nemesis caught up with a young man, as he was allegedly caught stealing tubers of yam at Afor Awkunanaw, popularly called Gariki Market, Enugu.

The Enugwu-born young man whose name could not be confimred, was forced to eat the yam and died afterwards.

He was reportedly caught by the security men guarding the market on Wednesday and was forced to eat the yams raw.

He died on the spot before he could finish a tuber of yam from the ones he was caught with.

Nwafor Igbo Convicted Imprisoned For 2 Years Over Fraud, Shortens His Sentence By 1 Year

Nwafor Igbo, Chimere Meze, 37-year, who was convicted of fraud and sentenced to two-year prison has had his sentence reduced by one year at the Phnom Penh Municipal Court on Thursday, June 15.

Chimere had in February this year been sentenced to 2 years imprisonment in absentia, when found in April, he was arrested and he filed a re-trial case at the court.

According to Judge Ros Piseth,  Mr Meze scammed a Cambodian woman out of $300 in 2016 by informing her she’d won a grand prize but first had to pay him $300 via Wing to collect the reward.

Renewed Communal Clash Between Umu Igbo In Ebonyi And Cross River Cause Over 20 Deaths

Renewed inter-communal clash between umu Igbo in Ebonyi state and the bordering community in Cross River state led to the death of over 20 people yesterday, Thursday.

According to Dialypost report, there was invasion of the Ofonekom community, in Obubra Local Government Area of Cross River State by a neighbouring community of Izzi in Ebonyi State.

Recall the conflict between the two communities had been on for a very long time and has attracted federal attention to both communities.

Nwafor Igbo, Chinedu Okafor, 27, has been arrested in Gujarat India allegedly in possession of narcotics worth over $525,000.

Chinedu was said to have been travelling from Delhi to Goa when he was arrested on the Madgoan Rajdhani Express train.

Two Igbo Sons Nabbed By The NDLEA For Drug Trafficking

Two Igbo sons, Joseph Oparaji Okechukwu, 59 and Austine Ikenna Nnaji, 41, have been nabbed by Officials of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA, during the inward screening of passengers at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos for attempting to export drugs out of the country.
According to the NDLEA commander at Lagos airport, Ahmadu Garba, said Okechukwu was arrested when he attempted to board a Turkish airline flight. He was forced to excrete 1.105 kg of brownish substances that tested positive for heroin.

Two Igbo Sons, Ifeanyi And Adibe, Have Been Sentenced To Life Imprisonment Over Drug Peddling

Umu Igbo abuo, Okafor Ifeanyi Anthony, 42, and Adibe Paschal, 33, who were arrested in Cambodia with 1.27 kilograms of cocaine were sentenced on Wednesday, May 24th, to life imprisonment and an approximately $10,000 fine.

Y Rin, a spokesman for the municipal court, said that the sentence of the two young men was based on Article 40 of the Anti-Drug Law.

According to him, "Based on the law, the court allows them to appeal the conviction."

Nwafor Igbo,  Izundu Lotanna Chukwudi, 42, a former teacher in England, who was found guilty of trying to retail methamphetamine and sentenced to 18 years in jail has won his appeal to get the term shortened by one year in southern Vietnam, according to a court verdict.
