Igbo Young Man, One Other Sentenced To Life Imprisonment In Cambodia

Nwafor-Igbo, Ibe Chukwuemeka, 35, and a Romanian man Adrian-Calin Varadi, 40 were reportedly convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment by a Cambodian court on Tuesday, May 8, for cross-border drug smuggling.

The Romanian man was caught on Aug. 14, 2016 just as he arrived at the Phnom Penh International Airport from Brazil with 4.96 kg of cocaine hidden in his luggage, while Ibe, 35, was arrested subsequently as he waited at his hotel room to receive the drugs to take them to neighboring Thailand.

Police Discovers Decomposing Body Of Woman In Ebony State

The Police Command in Ebonyi has confirmed the discovery of the decomposing body of a woman in an apartment in Abakiliki.

The Spokesman of the command, DSP. Jude Madu, told NAN on Monday that the body of the woman was found in a room at No. 9c Igwe Ogbuofia St., Kpirikpiri Abakaliki at the weekend.

“I am still expecting more briefing from the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Kipirikpiri Area and will disclose more facts after being briefed,” Madu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Anambra Police Command Arrest And Parade Police Armed Robbers Who Killed Police Officer On Duty

The armed robbers who allegedly shot dead a Police officer on duty and made away with his AK47 rifle, sixty rounds of live ammunition at Ugwunwasike roundabout, Ogidiin Anambra have been nabbed and paraded by the State Police Command. 

The Three suspects were reportedly paraded at the Anambra State Police Headquarters Amawbia, on Friday, May 5th, alongside the body of the fourth who was killed during a gun battle with police.

Police Nab Nwafor-Igbo For Allegedly Raping A 47 Year Old Lady In The US

Police in North Carolina reportedly nabbed nwafor-Igbo, Nnamdi Godson Nwankwo, 53, resident at Rolesville and worked at a group home in Raleigh, North Carolina in March for allegedly raping a 47-year-old woman who lives in the neighbourhood.

He was acused of second-degree forcible rape and sexual activity by a substitute parent. Both charges are felonies.

Records show that police arrested Nwankwo on Merrell Drive in Raleigh at about 10 a.m. on April 5th.

Police said the incident happened a day earlier.

Cambodian Officials Raid Apartment Of 19 Nigerians, Arrest Them.

19 Nigerians living together have been nabbed by the Cambodia Immigration Police after their apartment in Mohaleap, Phnom Penh of the country was raided.

They have been detained the Police continue to verify their documents.

Local media from the country say, officers detained them all and arrested 9 of them for working in Cambodia illegally without work permits.

They will be sent to the General Department of Immigration for processing.

Two, Enugu Based, Battery Thieves Nabbed By The Police, Remanded In Prison

Operatives of the Nigerian Police, Enugu state Command, Uwani Division, on April 27 arrested two notorious suspects who allegedly specializes in stealing car batteries and engaging in household properties.

One of the suspects identified as Agu Kingsley Ebuka of 14 Adelabu street, Uwani Enugu who had first been arrested led to the arrest of his second, Chibuzor Friday of Ologo quarters Enugu who confessed to how he and his cohort engaged in the stealing of batteries from cars of people in the Nieghbourhood, ologo quarters and its environs and be re-selling to people.

Vigilante Members Intentionally Shot A Young Man In Abia State

The incompetence of untrained vigilante members came to glare as a young man, Nwafor-Igbo, Onyedikachi Ahia, was allegedly shot by a member of the Abia Vigilante Group (Bakassi).

Orji Ogbonnaya, 38, from Abia state has been nabbed by Ghanaian Police for allegedly attempting to smuggle 154 parcels of compressed dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp to Nigeria which he was said to have allegedly hidden in bales of used clothes.

Nwafor-Igbo, Larry Frank Onyedikachi, 35, has been nabbed by the Officials of the Narcotics Control Bureau for allegedly trying to smuggle 200 grams of cocaine in the Rajadhani express from New Delhi to Bengaluru on Thursday, April 27.

Reports from the Bureau reveals that based on a tip-off, a team of officials boarded the train after it reached Secunderabad and caught Larry 'Frank' Onyedikachi and the cost of the seized drugs in the international market is estimated to be around 1 crore, a senior official said.

Relatives of Chinwendu Ibekwe, from Umuobiakwa Nsirimo, Umuahia South area of Abia State, who died in Police custody at the state capital, Umuahia, demand justice over the death of their son.

The deceased, a 42-year-old vulcaniser, was said to have been picked up by the Police from his Workshop on April 6th at Ubalaka, a suburb of Umuahia, for allegedly buying a stolen tyre.

Final Year Student Of Anambra State University Shot Dead By Unidentified Gunmen

Reports say a final year Computer Science student of the Anambra State University, Uli, Mohammed Umar, has been shot dead at the school campus.

Umar was said to have been killed while coming back from a Students Union event on Friday, 28th April.

The killers of the young mnan are yet unidentified and no offficial statement from qthe University of the Police concerning the death of the young man has emerged.
