According to him, Nnamdi Kanu was not against anybody in his agitations and that he was open to peaceful negotiations with the Federal Government.

Investigation by the Punch News has shown that politicians are  buying voters card ahead of the November 18 governorship election in the state.

Some analysts have argued that this may not be unconnected with the planned election boycott of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Recall the Kanu led IPOB had declared it was going to boycott the election and had since begun rally to sensitize Anambra people many of their youths have taken sides with the IPOB, on why they should boycott the election.

Photos: Two Suspected Killers of Fr. Onunkwo Have Been Arrested

Two suspected persons accused of murdering Catholic Priest, Rev Fr Cyriacus Onunkwo.

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State confirmed the arrest of the suspects while speaking at the Government House in Owerri, Imo State.

Onunkwo was kidnapped by gunmen, last week Friday, from his vehicle in Orlu town, Orlu Local Government Area.

The Imo state Commissioner of Police, Chris Ezike, said the body of Fr Onunkwo was discovered the following day in a bush in Omuma Village, Oru East Local Government Area.

An All Progressives Congress, APC, Akwa Ibom State Chapter Chieftain, Elder Enefiok Ekefre has accused ndi Igbo of abandoning the late Biafra Vice President, General Philip Effiong whom he said eventually died as a rebel.

Enefiok said this when he chatted with Vanguard correspondents in Uyo, Ekefre

Gen. Effiong was second in command to the late Odumegwu Ojukwu of the defunct Republic of Biafra who signed the ceasefire agreement with the Gowon led Federal Government that led to the end of the Nigeria-Biafra war in 1970.

The defunct republic of Biafra was 77,000 sqkm in size. It was just a fraction bigger than Niger state (76,363 sqkm) and Borno state (70,898 sqkm) yet it took all the blows, blockade and strafing.

Biafra was also a prison to many of its citizens who had reservations about it. Notable among them was the remaining most senior Igbo army officer, Col Hillary Njoku who was detained as long as the republic lasted.

FRSC Catch Man Allegedly Trying To Traffick 14 Underaged Children In Ebonyi State

Operatives of the Ebonyi sector command of FRSC, today, Wednesday, intercepted a Black Toyota Sienna with plate number, GDD252YD, overloaded with under-aged children.

A statement released by the command, stated that the man and the children have been handed over to the police after he failed to state who the children were to him and where he was taking them to.

A business man in Anambra, Dr. Richard Ndubuaku, has sued the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and its leader, Nnamdi Kanu at the Federal High Court in Abuja over their plan to boycott the forthcoming gubernatorial election of the state.

He is seeking for an injunction from the court in the suit with number FHC/ABJ/ CS/756/2017 to restrain Nnamdi Kanu and the IPOB from boycotting the Anambra State governorship election scheduled to hold on November 18.

President Muhammadu Buhari has officially canceled the meeting of the Federal Executive Council Meeting (FEC) scheduled to hold tomorrow.

The information was given out by the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed today, Wednesday.

He said President Buhari canceled the meeting because the Eid-el-KABIR holiday deprived the ministers enough time to prepare the documents for the meeting.
