Nigeria Police Force Deploys More Personnel To South East For Nnamdi Kanu's Re-Arrest

The Nigeran Poice Force has revealed it has deployed additional personal to the South to both prevent the Independent Peope of Biafra,IPOB from carrying out its threat to boycott and carry out a posible re-arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, the group's leader.

Speaking to Punch, the Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, said “We have made additional deployments, particularly in Anambra State, because of the upcoming governorship election and also to other South-East and South- South states to ensure that IPOB did not actualise its threat of stopping the election.

Mass Killing Averted In Imo State As Both Pro And Anti-Rochas Groups Clash Over Ekweukwu Market Demolition

What could have turned into a bloodbath was averted yesterday as some groups in Imo state who were in support and against the demolition of the Ekeukwu Market in Owerri, the Imo state capital.

Recall the demolition of the popular market as directed by the governor, Rochas Okorocha which was carried out few days back saw to  the death of some persons including a 10 year old boy with several others injured.

The renewed clash of both groups continued yesterday and safe the intervention of security forces, would have led to a bloodbath.

It's Baseless, The Request Of The AGF To Revoke Nnamdi Kanu's Bail -- Chuks Nwachukwu Argues

From a legal point of view, the request of the AGF to revoke Kanu's bail has no basis. I suppose that the request is in the form of an application to the trial court. Some other persons said it is in the form of an appeal. I am yet to see the court processes. I will assume that it is an application to the court where Kanu is standing trial.

Nnamdi Kanu, His Father, In An Ongoing Meeting With South Eastern Governors

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is in a meeting with governors of the South Eastern region in the company of his father, His Royal Highness, Eze Israel Okwu Kanu.

The meeting which is said to be holding inside the Enugu state Government House was scheduled to discuss the planned election boycott by the IPOB. 

UNN Shuns JAMB Cut-Off Mark, Releases Its Own And Post UTME Date

First Nigerian Indigenous University, University of Nigeria (Nsukka and Enugu Campuses), UNN, has set its cut-off mark at 200 as usual. 

This is after the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, had set its cut-off mark for the 2017/208 at 120.

According to a statement the school management, applicants to the school are advised to "continue to check the school's website for further information."

The Issue Of "Igbo Have Victim Complex"

When some Nigerians say that the Igbo have victim complex,victim mentality or other fancy words we often hear,what exactly do they mean?

I have been wanting some education on this for a long time.

In my understanding of Nigeria,I would say the Igbo had a totally different experience in Nigeria than any other ethnic group.It is expected therefore that their attitude to Nigeria would be totally different too.Whst I don't understand however is the claim that they have victim complex.

Federal Government Making Noise Over Plan To Re-Arrest Nnamdi Kanu.

Former Lawmaker in the Second Republic, Junaid-Mohammed has lashed out at the Federal government over their plan to re-arrest the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

According to him, the federal government's plan is mere "noise making" and does not portend any seriousness.
