Nnamdi Kanu's Younger Brother Speaks For The First Time After Army Raid, Reveals Next Agenda For IPOB

Emmanuel Kanu, younger brother to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has that IPOB would not backout from its agitation for Biafra Indepencdence.

According to him, IPOB is non-violent and will continue with that approach.

He said: “Freedom is not given by the oppressor; it is seized by the oppressed. As long as what we do is in line with international laws, we will continue with the struggle (for an independent state of Biafra)”, he told Punch.

The Manager Director of Capital Oil and business mogul, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah is in an ongoing closed door meeting with delegates of the caucus of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

According to the Special Adviser of Anambra state governor on Social Media, Ifeanyi Aniagho, the meeting which is reportedly anchored on coorperation between the Nnewi born business mogul and politician and the APGA party, is taking place at Ifeanyi Ubha's home, in Nnewi.

I am Confident Operation Python Dance II Will Never End IPOB Agitation -- Peter Obi

Former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi has stated that the present militarisation of the South East to clampdown on the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, would not end the agitation by the group. 

According to him, the present agitation for Biafra which has seemingly gained much intensity was a fallout of bad leadership.

South East Governors Ban IPOB Activities

The governors of the South Eastern states have banned the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, as resolved in their meeting today, Firday.

Igbobia had earlier reported that the governors were in a closed-door meeting with the Deputy Senate President, the GOC of 82 Division and some Elders. 

In a Press briefing after the meeting, the Chairman of the South East governors' forum, David Umahi delivered the communique from their meeting.

Amnesty International Cautions Nigeria Army On Clashes With IPOB, Warns It Is Investigating Right Abuses

has said that it is investigating the clash between the Nigerian Army and members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, in

Umuahia, Abia state from last week’s Sunday.

Amnesty International (AI) has cautioned the Nigerian Army over clashes with the members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, iin the ongoing Operation Python Dance II in the South East.

According to to the AI, it is investigating the incident and will document all abuses. 

Nigerian Military Declares IPOB Terrorists Organisation

The Nigerian Defence Headquarters has declared the Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) a terrorist organisation.

The declaration which was made today, Friday, as the Army begins the Operation Python Dance II in the South East was contained in a statement by Major General, John Enenche, Director Defence Information.

It read “after due professional analysis and recent developments, it has become expedient, to notify the general public that; the claim by IPOB actors that the organization is non violent is not true.

Operation Python Dance: South East Governors, Ike Ekweremadu, GOC Of 82 Division, Others Meet

The governors of the South East, Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, GOC of 82 Division, Elders and other Security Chiefs led by the chairman of the South East Governors' forum, David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi state are currently holding a meeting in Enugu state government House.

Details of the meeting is yet to be revelaed. However, the meeting was called over the current unrest ongoing in the South East after the Nigerian Army invaded the hometown of Nnamdi Kanu in Umuahia in preparation for their Operation Python Dance II.

Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has petitioned the United Nations, UN, European Union and others on the continued alleged rampaging of the Nigerian Army in the South East which has been largely targeted at him and the IPOB.

According to Kanu, in the petitioned dated September 14, the Nigerian military have engaged in intimidation, torture, arrest, abduction and killing of civilian populace in the southeast.

The pictures above show dead bodies of the members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, reportedly killed by the Nigerian Army, yesterday, Thursday at the home of the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

It was reported that the Nigerian Army gained entrance into the home of Kanu in Isiama Afara, Umuahia, Abia state in the evening of yesterday and engaged in sporadic shootings that according to Nnamdi Kanu's Lawyer, Barr Ejiofor, lasted for over 40 minutes.

Abia State Commissioner Of Police Replaced Amidst Tension

Amidst tension in the major cities of Abia state, the Nigerian Police Force have changed the Commission of Police, Mr Adeleye Oyebade in the state.

My Adeleye was replaced by Mr Anthony Ogbizi as the new commission who has just assumed duty. 

Ogbizi took over from after a short and fast handover ceremony was conducted at the command’s headquarters in Umuahia.

NBA Condemns Operation Python Dance, Orders Buratai To Call-Off Operation

Abia state branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, has condemned in strong terms, the ongoing Operation Python Dance II by the Nigerian military in the South East.

Chairman of the legal body, Mr Nnamdi Eluwa, while addressing newsmen today, Thursday in Umuahia, the state capital pointed out that the Operation which has now generated more tension and chaos in the city who, was baseless as there was no security threat or insurrection in the city and by extension, the South East that would warrant such massive deployment of troops to the region.
